Home automation solutions are already in use in many households today. Many users do not want to deal with the integration of so-called "clamps" to measure the values of the entire home network. Simple solutions are needed that allow them to concentrate on the important issues. EnergyRadar therefore provides the community with a "Home Assistant" integration, which allows the data from the MeterExtension to be integrated.
Installing the EnergyRadar PlugIn in Home Assistant
Before you can start configuring your HA dashboard and linking it to various other functions, follow the steps below:
- Installation of HACS (Home Assistant Community Store)
- Download the EnergyRadar Home Assistant Addon
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Install HACS(https://www.hacs.xyz/docs/use/)
- The repository with type "Integration" must be entered in the HACS menu:
https://github.com/alchemisten/energy-radar-ha-addon - Home assistnat restart
- Under Settings -> Devices & Services, click Add Integration at the bottom right.
Search for EnergyRadar and add it. - Follow the EnergyRadar setup, which is essentially limited to entering the login data.
Display of the measured values
The measured values supplied by the MeterExtension are displayed as corresponding entities in Home Assistant and can be used in many application scenarios.
